A dragon boat race

Across the Spree with Teamgeist

Show your team spirit at a very special highlight in the events calendar: at the Dragon Boat Cup, set against the picturesque backdrop of the Oberbaum Bridge, you’ll be paddling for a good cause.

The BerlinPay offer

With power, harmony and rhythm: in cooperation with nhow Berlin, the Dragon Boat Cup will take place on the River Spree on 5 June, with up to 30 teams - comprising companies, associations and clubs – competing in various disciplines. Each boat is limited to a maximum of 20 people, including around 12-16 paddlers and one drummer.

During the BerlinPay campaign, if you travel by bike or public transport on 5 June, you will receive an introduction from the DLRG on how to behave safely on the water. Afterwards, you can ride along for free on the BerlinPay dragon boat during the Dragon Boat Cup. As the number of participants is limited, it is worth registering early by email, quoting BerlinPay.

All the details at a glance:

  • When: 5 June, at 2 pm
  • Meeting point: Stralauer Allee 3, 10245 Berlin
  • Registration: by email, mentioning BerlinPay, to drachenboot-berlin@teamgeist.com; please note that registration is limited to you and one accompanying person.
  • You can find more information about the Dragon Boat Cup here.

More about Teamgeist’s dragon boat race

Teamgeist has been developing bespoke team events for over 30 years. A definite highlight in the events calendar is the Dragon Boat Cup against the picturesque backdrop of the Oberbaum Bridge, where participants paddle for a good cause.

This year, the proceeds from the Cup will go to the Jahn’sche Stiftung and the Förderverein Kinder- und Jugendhilfezentrum Neukölln in Buckow e.V. Refreshments and musical entertainment are, of course, also provided. This is being organised by the team at nhow Berlin, which is located right on the banks of the Spree. Look forward to exciting races, great food and a lively atmosphere.
