A series of salons on death – literature, music, discussions, and information

Following the first sold-out event, the successful series of talks continues. People want to live—and die—as cheerfully and self-determined as possible. “Now It’s Time!” breaks the silence.

Beforehand, many people don’t think enough about their need to say goodbye. The more they engage with it, the more valuable it becomes to have a plan for an emergency—a personalized farewell. Because the more freely they approach it, the easier it becomes. They let death into their lives. The play eventually comes to an end.

That is why they must engage with the various approaches to the end of life, without neglecting humor or lightheartedness. They celebrate the last of all parties. They look closely and share knowledge instead of fear.

A diverse program featuring literature, music, conversations, and information offers new perspectives. Curated by a variety of Berlin women.

So: Come on by! Join the conversation! Live it up! The goal is to bring together the diversity of society and create spaces for connection. And one thing is already certain: last year’s tax return must be filed; the tax office won’t let it slide, not even if you’ve passed away.

The six-part salon series “Jetzt ist Sense!” (A joyful and diverse evening about mortality) kicked off in April to a full house and an enthusiastic audience. Now we continue with the second event and a new lineup on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 7:30 p.m., at La Bohème, Winsstr. 12, 10405 Berlin – Prenzlauer Berg.

Admission is free, but due to limited seating, advance registration is requested: Phone: 030 48 62 30 10.

Ms. zu Kappenstein serves as the curator of the series.

Performing at the second talk with music & reading, “Jetzt ist Sense,” are: Sigrid Grajek (moderator), Die Raven & Der Augustin—playing a few songs on the theme of death and life—and the authors Astrid Ann Jabusch, Frau zu Kappenstein, Andrea Maluga, and Heidi Rühlmann. Also joining us is Ulla Rose: Dying – Accompanying the Dying – Last-Aid Courses with Humor – Is That Possible?
