The refreshing neighbourhood tour

More drinking water for everyone, less pollution for the world: this is exactly what the non-profit association a tip: tap is committed to through numerous projects, such as a map of free refill stations.

The BerlinPay offer

During the BerlinPay campaign, the association is organising a unique neighbourhood tour through Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. The tour takes you to numerous drinking fountains and refill stations, where you can top up your water bottle for free. At the same time, the group gets involved and works together to check whether the existing refill stations are still in use, thereby helping to improve the network and the map of stations. The tour is filled with interesting stories from the neighbourhood and facts about drinking water. Participation is free of charge, but registration is requested.

All the details about the drinking water tour at a glance:

  • Date: 27 May
  • Time: 3 pm to 5 pm
  • Meeting point: At the Wiener Trinkbrunnen on Kurfürstendamm 33, on the corner of Uhlandstraße (in front of Douglas). The tour ends at Nikolsburger Platz.
  • Registration: here.

About a tip:tap

A tip:tap is a non-profit organisation that campaigns for free tap water and against packaging waste. For ten years, the organisation has been raising awareness, launching various projects and offering e-learning courses for trainee teachers and teachers. Since summer 2023, the organisation has been coordinating the Refill Deutschland initiative, in which shops displaying the Refill sticker offer free tap water for any reusable drinking vessel brought in. In this way, they aim to actively contribute to reducing plastic and raise awareness of the environmental pollution caused by it. You can find all the locations where you can get free drinking water on an interactive map.
