Spreepark Art Space

Experience art and nature

Contemporary art meets biodiversity: situated in the Plänterwald, right next to the banks of the Spree, the Spreepark Art Space is located in a unique environment.

The BerlinPay offer

As part of the BerlinPay campaign, Spreepark Artspace is organising a clean-up event on 21 May in the shallow water and riverside area. Help ensure that this place can continue to be home to many species. Afterwards, participants will receive a free introduction to the current exhibition “Wandel Landschaften” at Spreepark Art Space.

Depending on availability, you have the opportunity to take part in the ‘Campus Stadt Natur’ guided tour through Spreepark on the theme of ‘Crayfish – living fossils’. As places are limited, we would ask you to register briefly by email, stating whether you would prefer to visit the exhibition or take a guided tour. About Spreepark Art Space

For several years now, new life has been returning to the site of the former Spreepark amusement park in Plänterwald. The Spreepark Art Space has opened on the site under its original name. Here, contemporary art is exhibited within the context of landscape, nature and architecture. Art plays a central role in the design of the future Spreepark – and visitors can experience it first-hand. In addition to permanent installations, there are also temporary exhibitions in the Eierhäuschen. The exhibition “Wandel Landschaften” (Changing Landscapes) is on display until 14 June 2026, showcasing four different perspectives that explore, among other things, the historical and future transformation of Spreepark. Admission is free.

With its location in the Plänterwald, right next to the banks of the Spree, the Spreepark is situated in a unique habitat. The shallow water zone along the riverbank is a small natural paradise and serves as a home not only to frogs, newts and insects, but also to grasses, willows and marsh plants.
