Listen to, discover, and enjoy good music together.

Once a month, radio3 (rbb) invites you to come together to listen to music and discover new sounds—right in the heart of Berlin, beneath the S-Bahn arches on Friedrichstraße. Above, the trains rattle by; below, you’ll find exquisite drinks and extraordinary recordings in an intimate atmosphere with brilliant sound.

On June 1, Henrike Leißner invited Berlin-based singer Theresa Kronthaler.

The mezzo-soprano regularly performs on opera stages across Europe. Her hallmarks: a rich, crystal-clear voice and a repertoire that transcends eras. She sings music from the Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and Modern periods, as well as contemporary music, rock, and pop—sometimes even all at once!

In addition to her career as a successful opera singer, she is also the frontwoman of the band “Kronthaler,” with whom she specializes in highly sophisticated arrangements: A rock classic might evolve into an aria-like vocal masterpiece, and music from an opera from 1600 becomes a pop song with dance-floor potential.
