The dismantling of the human rights organization "International Memorial" serves as the starting point for "Memoria." Nana Grinstein's documentary theater piece weaves together interviews, court records, and texts from Bertolt Brecht's time in exile with the case file of the famous Brecht actress Carola Neher, whose tragic fate was reconstructed by "International Memorial."
Anastasia Patlay, a Russian theater director living in exile, has developed a new version of "Memoria" in cooperation with the Brecht Festival 2024, after the play was banned from being performed in Russia.
