Star Wars Day at the Planetarium

“May the Fourth be with you.” International Star Wars Day is celebrated on May 4.

On this evening, the Zeiss Grand Planetarium will be entirely dedicated to the events that took place a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. But is this galaxy really that far away?

The planetarium takes you on a journey to the astronomical objects of the Star Wars universe: from the desert worlds of Tatooine to the ice planets of Hoth, and we’ll explore whether similar celestial bodies exist in this real cosmos.

Science fiction meets astronomy: But what is actually fantasy and what could even be reality—and how do we actually find that out?

On this journey through distant and nearby galaxies, the epic film score of the cult saga will accompany us beneath the planetarium dome. Fly through space like an X-wing pilot through asteroid fields.

Star Warriors from a galaxy far, far away will be special guests at the event. The jaigalaar_clan will introduce you to Mandalorian culture and offer tips on costume-making.
