Bela's Big Band & Big Band de Paris
Since 2007, a musical exchange has linked the Béla Bartók Music School Big Band, “Bela’s Big Band,” conducted by Achim Rothe, with the Big Band de Paris, conducted by Thierry de Micheaux.

Bigbands Berlin Paris
Every year, the ensembles meet alternately in Berlin and Paris for a joint rehearsal period culminating in a concert, which this year will happily take place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in the KulturMarktHalle.
The program features classic big band compositions by Count Basie, among others, as well as original pieces, arrangements, and modern titles. The audience can look forward to a varied evening with over 30 musicians from Berlin and Paris.
