The exhibition features the works of seven Berlin-based photographers who explore and artistically interpret non-realistic photography in a wide variety of ways.

There can be many reasons for the desire to make one’s own perspective independent of “reality” (which, as we know, is different for everyone anyway).

In the simplest case: I want to be able to convey the mood that the subject evoked in me. Or: I don’t like reality, and I want to offer an alternative.

Or: I’m bored with the same old thing, and I simply want a change.

Or: Reality appears harmless, but it has dark undercurrents that I want to make visible.
