Expert guided tour with painting curator Dr. Alexandra Nina Engel, SPSG

Since the 18th century, the Brandenburg-Prussian Collections have housed a large number of paintings by important Flemish and Dutch artists of the 17th century, which once belonged to the collection of the Dutch stadtholder family of Orange-Nassau. Many of these are still on display in the Sanssouci Picture Gallery today. But how did Brandenburg-Prussia come to lay claim to this Dutch heritage?

Curator Dr. Alexandra Engel will explain the background of the inheritance disputes during an exclusive guided tour, introducing the magnificent paintings and artists along the way.
