Getting older really is a reason to celebrate: Yes, we spent the whole of 2025 celebrating our 30th anniversary, and no, we’re not slowing down! After more than three decades of independent art and culture in Berlin-Mitte—especially in a reality marked by multiple crises—this “natural habitat” deserves a party: The artist club
Eschschloraque is turning 31!
Rümschrümp is a response to this reality, questioning the status quo with a radical commitment to art.
That “twilight of the Monster Bar” refers to the fantastically bizarre world of the artist collective Dead Chickens. If anything is possible here, then that applies to the birthday as well: Just as entirely different worlds suddenly emerge in the artists’ club—for instance at the bar, where conversations lead into pleasantly bizarre situations, or on stage with performances, concerts, and DJ sets, the birthday brings to life the completely different world of the Eschschloraque Allstar DJs: SHEILA CHIPPERFIELD means “a hit of dopamine in real time.” The DJ, lighting designer, and musician reads the room, responds to the audience with a disarming sense of humor, and creates a happening: vibrant and moving “sound communication” that shoots straight to the brain.
No less distinctive is the musical sensitivity of the sets by HOLLY HUNTED aka Lauryn Zoe Hinsch: her repertoire ranges from Arabic soundscapes to
90s alternative, danceable hits from the ’80s, and new wave/post-punk all the way to circus music—which means you’ll constantly be surprised by hidden gems
. BAROX has long since made a name for himself in the local scene and international community with his Italo disco selections and eclectic sets. He is appreciated for his unique groove and his ability to combine different facets of electro and disco.
This party isn’t exactly unexpected, but its lineup could explode with performances and additional DJs, thanks to the artistic freedom that makes all sorts of things possible—whatever the unconventional spirit of experimentation comes up with.
