The book "We were second-class citizens" traces the traumatic and little-known story of a group of about 1000 Greek and Armenian citizens who were arrested in 1944 during raids by the German occupation forces in Athens and deported to the "Third Reich" as forced laborers.
The lecture retraces the group's footsteps through the various territories of Nazi Germany using unknown sources, including unpublished diaries.
