Allemande, Courante, Sarabande, Gigue? Dances that were extremely popular in the Baroque era are largely unknown today. In music, however, these dances have survived the test of time and remain part of concert performance practice. All the more reason to embark on a journey through Europe and discover these familiar and unfamiliar dances and their musical settings in piano music.
