Photo exhibition by Matthias “Mulinarius” Müller Yellow & blue against forgetting

The Instagrammer Mulinarius (Matthias Müller) travels a lot in his free time. Often you spend hours looking for a new motif or a different perspective on things that you actually know but have never looked at in this way before. He posts his pictures on social networks. Totally normal posts. Great photo, comment and hashtags underneath, done. Then came the war in Ukraine - a topic that the whole world is talking about, that concerns the whole world. So does Mulinarius. With the first day of the war, it felt completely wrong for him to post "normally". He wanted to make a statement and began coloring his pictures in yellow and blue. What was initially intended as a sign of solidarity is now a sign against forgetting. "This war is terrible and must not disappear from public interest. That's why I continue to color my pictures regularly in yellow and blue. Not only now, but also later - whenever my profiles and pictures are viewed, people should remember that Peace and democracy cannot be taken for granted - not even in Europe!" said Mulinarius. In the meantime, 44 yellow-blue photographs have been taken and more will be added - until the war is over! The partners from the Stasi headquarters broadcast the photos from the photographer Mulinarius, colored in yellow and blue. Campus for Democracy is a sign of solidarity from Berlin to Kyiv two years after the start of the Russian war of aggression on Ukraine and shows that peace and democracy in Europe cannot be taken for granted.
