Open Air: Classic, poetry, jazz & Berlin air at Liebermann
In the midst of poverty and illness, the terminally ill Mimì experiences the happiness of a great love. The harlot Violetta, on the other hand, perishes because of her great love, and Pimpinella has to find her way back to her great love through charlatanry.
Four violinists from the DSO, conducted by concertmaster Byol Kang, present highlights of the Italian opera and film music repertoire. They bring the subjects of great love up close to the audience: passion, jealousy, greed, revenge and even death.
