Poetry and science

Poetry and science meet monthly at "Logoskop". In the second round in November, two renowned slam poets, Frank Klötgen and Dalibor Marković, will again explore the exhibition After Nature with live texts. Visitors are invited to accompany them on their eloquent tour.

Frank Klötgen was born in Essen in 1968. He is the author of around 3,000 poems and song lyrics. For 25 years he has been active as a slam poet and net-literate on stages and online. In 1998, Frank Klötgen won the Pegasus Prize for Internet Literature from ZEIT and ARD-online for his hyperfiction "Aaleskorte der Ölig". He has taken part in poetry slams all over the world, including the ARTE-Webslam, the political slam of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, the German Boxing Slam Championships and the Oberhausen Short Film Slam. Solo and in changing teams, Frank Klötgen has won awards at numerous slam championships. His poems have been translated into English, Arabic, Italian, Czech and Bulgarian. He has toured Egypt, Bulgaria, Denmark, England and the Czech Republic with the Goethe-Institut and the Robert Bosch Foundation. He has given guest performances in the USA, Canada, India, Costa Rica, Madagascar and the Seychelles. He has also toured with his book constructions (Emirates Literature Festival, International Bookfair Abu Dhabi, museums and exhibitions in German-speaking countries).Frank Klötgen is also a DJ, former German vice-champion in skateboarding and an official member of the Munich Lach- und Schießgesellschaft.

Dalibor Marković was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1975. He lives alternately in Frankfurt and Mexico City. The spoken word poet has Croatian roots and is the son of a professional jazz musician. He came to writing through music and beatboxing. Dalibor Markovic has been performing on German stages and often internationally for almost twenty years. He has performed at book fairs and festivals in Paris, Moscow, Bogota and New Delhi, among others.In addition to four books and an EP, Markovic has published a lyrical USB stick. In 2014, Dalibor Markovic became the German-speaking poetry slam champion in the team competition. The stage poet and beatboxer gives writing workshops at educational institutions or guest lectures at universities.



2G rule from 15 November 2021: Please note that in accordance with the adjustment of the Land Berlin to the measures to contain the Corona pandemic, the 2G rule will be applied to visits to the Humboldt Forum from Monday, 15 November 2021. The rule generally applies to entering the house, for exhibitions, events and educational offers such as guided tours. Digitally readable vaccination certificates or convalescence certificates must be presented as proof. The presentation of a vaccination certificate in paper form without a digitally readable QR code or a current test certificate is no longer sufficient for the visit. Children up to and including 5 years of age and children and adolescents up to and including 17 years of age who present their school ID are exempt. Unvaccinated visitors with a medical certificate are also exempt. In this case, a valid negative PCR test form, not older than 24 hours, must be presented. We ask for your understanding that there may be waiting times in the entrance areas of the passage and in Portal 3. Please allow sufficient time and have your ticket, proof of identity and photo ID ready for inspection.
