Holiday workshop for children and young people aged 12 and over
An avatar is a virtual art figure in cyberspace that you can often design yourself in video games. The avatar's appearance, body and gender can be freely chosen. Exactly like you or completely different? How would you present yourself in a virtual reality?
We get to know the works of various artists who have dealt with the representation of youth, bodies and role models, among other things. We are inspired by them and use methods such as performance, disguise, photography and drawing to create our own artistic figures.
At the end of the project week, the avatars will not be uploaded into cyberspace, but printed analogue on textiles or posters.
Date: Monday, October 31 – Friday, November 04, 2022, 11:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Registration required by email to kontakt(at)labor-m.berlin or by phone at +49 30 55 28 89 13 (Fenia Franz).
