Jewish Culture Days

The 3rd Koshere Streetfood Festival marks the start of the Jewish Culture Days in Berlin. More than 30 stalls offer hearty classics such as schwarma, hummus, vegan burgers, the oriental rice dish plov or the Turkish dumplings gözleme as well as delicacies such as crepes.

As is well known, man does not live by bread alone, so from 11 a.m. the stove and pan will be in full swing, as will a colorful stage program.

Christian Schulte-Loh, a regular guest performer on German and British stages, is responsible for the presentation. Schulte-Loh is one of the few German artists in his field who is internationally successful and has performed in Argentina, Dubai and many European countries.

In addition to jazzy sounds, a magic show and a puppet show are aimed specifically at younger visitors. Shlomit Tripp will be bringing along the likeable puppet Glückel. The shaggy, aquamarine-colored lady not only playfully conveys Jewish culture, but also snacks her way through the stalls during the breaks. Glückel loves latkes the most - small, deep-fried potato pancakes. But with so much culinary variety, Glückel is spoiled for choice.
