When the sun sets over Belvedere Palace and the full moon rises, it's a feast for the senses. The Italianate architecture of King Frederick William IV is bathed in warm evening light, and as the moon reflects in the pool, bats silently circle overhead.
As darkness falls, the palace courtyard, colonnades, and arcades are atmospherically illuminated. From the palace towers, you can enjoy views of Potsdam at night, the Havel lakes, and the filling starry sky.
As a special highlight for the last moonlit night of the year, the URANIA Planetarium will be on hand with telescopes, bringing the moon down to earth. Observe our natural satellite up close, as well as Saturn, whose rings can be seen in the evening sky. Observations are weather-dependent.
Members of the Pfingstberg Support Association will be offering drinks and refreshments – accompanied by pleasant music, it's the perfect way to end the week!
