Exhibition opening and panel discussion
Pupils from the Amy-Johnson-Gymnasium in Schönefeld created the exhibition in cooperation with the Documentation Center for Nazi Forced Labor.
The exhibition focuses on the life story of French resistance fighter Hélène Fauriat (1918-1999). Based on her memoirs, the students trace Fauriat's path from her arrest by the Gestapo to the Ravensbrück concentration camp and forced labor in Schönefeld.
The reason for the project is the construction of the new secondary school on the site of a former forced labor camp of the Henschel aircraft factory in Schönefeld near Berlin. Archaeological excavations took place on the site in 2023/24.
