Albrecht Tiedemann
Albrecht Tiedemann presents his latest multicoloured woodcut works at Art Pavillon '61.
Under the title ‘razor sharp and hand-rubbed’, the artist showcases the full range of a technique that is powerful, precise and sensual in equal measure.
Cut into the wood block with a knife and rubbed by hand layer by layer, the works create an impressive sense of depth and vibrant colour. Tiedemann's works combine technical rigour with experimental freedom – each sheet is unique in its expression, shaped by the direct dialogue between material, tool and hand.
The exhibition invites visitors not only to view the process of creating a woodcut, but also to experience it.
