On this evening, the Schloss Britz Cultural Foundation presents the Via ensemble, founded in 2025, in the Great Hall. It brings together violinist Magdalena Heinz, pianist Juae Ha and cellist Susanne Szambelan.
Via – Latin for ‘path’ or ‘journey’ – stands for the ensemble's shared artistic path: a continuous journey between sound, movement and expression. The artists present their works in various formations and invite the audience to experience the diversity of their musical forms of expression.
Programme:
The first part of the concert is dedicated to works by Amy Beach, Reinhold Glière and Béla Bartók.
These pieces are characterised by lyrical melodies, rhythmic vitality and folkloric influences that naturally combine solo passages and chamber music moments.
After a short interval, two important piano trios by Claude Debussy and Dmitri Shostakovich follow, impressing with their contrasting moods and expressive dynamics.
The audience can expect a fluid transition through different sound worlds, musical styles and historical eras – from intimate solo passages to full-sounding trio formations.
- Magdalena Heinz, violin
- Juae Ha, piano
- Susanne Szambelan, cello
