This program for violin and baroque harp transports the audience into the captivating sound world of the "Stylus Fantasticus"—that highly virtuosic, expressive style that flourished in the courts of Italy and Austria during the 17th century.


The two artists immerse themselves in this musical universe with infectious joy and emotional depth, presenting not only well-known works by Heinrich Ignaz Franz Biber and Johann Pachelbel, but also rarely heard compositions.

Nadja Zwiener (violin) is concertmaster of The English Concert, has released several albums, and co-founded the Leipzig ensemble Collegium Musicum ’23 with Thomaskirche organist Johannes Lang. Maximilian Ehrhardt belongs to a new generation of historical harpists who combine virtuoso technique with intensive research and innovative programs. He performs worldwide with renowned early music ensembles.
