Songs and rhythms from Southern and Eastern Europe
The Berlin-based band DIVANKO has been captivating audiences since 2017 with their multi-part vocals, violin, guitar, ukulele, double bass, and diverse percussion.
Their hearts beat for the music of Eastern and Southeastern Europe, with its simple and complex rhythms: their repertoire spans from Georgia to Hungary, from the Czech Republic to Greece – sometimes lyrical and touching, sometimes danceable and rousing.
Their songs tell of love and farewell, of pain and joy, of wine, schnapps, moonlight – and how all of these things are inextricably linked.

- Kathrin Hergert - vocals, banjo, guitar
