All rabbits have long ears—except Kanin Short-Ear. And that’s why his siblings won’t play with him; in fact, they even laugh at him. But one day, their mother disappears. While the others cuddle up to Grandma, Short-Ear hops off to search for his mom.
The spring fairy Ostara would love to help, but she’s still half asleep and, without her flower coffee, completely muddle-headed. So they end up visiting all sorts of other animal mothers until Short-Ear remembers his own strength: “Just follow your nose!” And indeed, they finally find Short-Ear’s mom—along with the next riddle, because: How did Mom get in THERE? What “THERE” is will of course not be revealed just yet—there has to be a little Easter surprise!
A springtime story for people aged three and a half and up, with strong nerves and with not entirely accidental references to Easter and Mother’s Day, told with hand puppets and pictures.
Recommended for ages 3 and up.
