The Israeli percussionist and the Israeli-born Palestinian soprano focus on what they have in common.
In their programme ‘One Pulse’, they bring together Arabic and Western rhythms and melodies – in their own compositions and in imaginative interpretations of classics. Tom Betsalel integrates traditional percussion styles from around the world into his playing on the marimba and other instruments. Nour Darwish is equally versed in Arabic music and Western opera classics.
They are accompanied by Eitan Gurshman – Tom Betsalel's student is a young Israeli talent on the vibraphone.
An intercultural evening that invites you to listen to each other and reach out to one another.
