on the 81st anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz
The thematic starting point for the author Juan Mayorga's construction of this play was the Nazis' insane undertaking to film the propaganda film "The Führer Gives the Jews a City" in the Theresienstadt ghetto in August/September 1944, a film which, due to the war, was never publicly screened. What deeply disturbs Juan Mayorga against the backdrop of this history is the profound connection between theater and deception in this thematic context.
