Jazz concert
Behind the band name lies a quartet formed by four exquisite Berlin jazz musicians. The master drummer Torsten Zwingenberger is at home in both jazz and swing. He has also made a name for himself as a blues and boogie-woogie accompanist.
The premise "It must swing" of the German founder of the famous jazz record label Blue Note, Alfred Lion, who fled to New York to escape the Nazis, is also the band's motto.
They play modern swing, hard bop, cool jazz or even Brazilian and funky soul jazz in a mixture of American songbook titles and the band musicians' own compositions.
