BACH SANS BACH - CD-release
The multi-award-winning violinist Marie Radauer-Plank presents her new CD project, "BACH SANS BACH," in a Sunday concert—a program as insightful as it is poetic, placing Johann Sebastian Bach at its heart as a spiritual origin.
Selected movements from Bach's sonatas and partitas enter into a captivating dialogue with works by Johann Paul von Westhoff, Ivan Khandoshkin, Eugène Ysaÿe, Arthur Honegger, and Charlotte Bray. Their compositions were created in the spirit of Bach or consciously reference his musical legacy. Thus unfolds a multifaceted journey through several centuries, impressively demonstrating Bach's enduring influence on solo violin literature.
As a Bach Prize winner and internationally acclaimed soloist, Marie Radauer-Plank combines technical brilliance with profound stylistic understanding. Her affinity for historically informed performance practice and her keen sense of musical relationships lend this CD release concert a special intensity and intellectual depth.
