Music by Paul Juon, Konrad Wölki and Helmuth Sommer
An evening of Berlin's musical history: Works by Paul Juon, Konrad Wölki, and Helmuth Sommer tell the story of their creators' eventful lives, from concert halls and teaching to popular entertainment and music for survival during the turbulent 20th century.
All three composers had strong ties to Berlin, with Wölki and Sommer having a particularly close connection to our district of Reinickendorf. Sommer founded the Reinickendorf Youth Chamber Orchestra over 60 years ago, and they will be opening our 2026 vivo concert season with a vibrant program of "Berlin Music."
Admission is free; donations are welcome.
