“Thawcrook” Tour – Contemporary Scottish Gaelic Folk Music
Rebecca Hill and Charlie Stewart are a Scottish harp and fiddle duo who met in Glasgow, Scotland's vibrant traditional music scene. They are accompanied by the multi-talented vocalist Mischa MacPherson.

Since the release of their debut album, "Thawcrook," in 2023, which combines original compositions with arrangements of their favorite melodies, Rebecca and Charlie have toured throughout the UK and internationally. "Thawcrook" draws primarily on material from Rebecca and Charlie's home region of Argyllshire and Perthshire. They experiment with contemporary
compositional techniques, creating hypnotic themes and incorporating significant improvisation into their arrangements, giving their music a spontaneous, exciting, and highly entertaining character.
The trio has collaborated in various contexts, but on this tour, they will present new material, seamlessly blending their shared love of traditional works with innovation to create an exciting new sound.
