Aurum Vocale, the MarienVokalensemble, the Aris & Aulis Baroque Orchestra and the Girls' Choir I & III of the Singakademie zu Berlin will perform Johann Sebastian Bach's St Matthew Passion – one of the most impressive works in music history.
The so-called ‘Great Passion’ combines dramatic narrative power with heartfelt reflection and touches on themes such as suffering, compassion and hope.
