Voices from the Hoheneck women's prison (GDR)
The Hoheneck women's prison is a symbol of the inhumanity with which the GDR regime silenced political dissidents and deprived them of their freedom.

On the evenings of the performances, music and discussions with contemporary witnesses will create a space for remembering the suffering of the women imprisoned there. Poems written in prison have been newly set to music and staged for this purpose.
On November 7 and 8, 2025, this unique format will be presented at the historic site, the former Stasi headquarters in Berlin, Building 22. On November 8, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the Stasi Records Archive will offer a guided tour of the exhibition "A Glimpse into the Secret" and the grounds prior to the performance.
