Solidarity encounters on World AIDS Day

"HIV? Is it still an issue?" Thanks to modern medication, HIV can be treated very well today. People with HIV can lead a long, healthy life with timely treatment. And: with successful treatment, HIV is not transmissible.

Nevertheless, old images, fears and prejudices persist. Where do the stigmas surrounding HIV come from? What remains of the AIDS crisis in the collective memory - and how does it continue to affect queer and heteronormative lifeworlds today?

They invite you to talk openly - about activism, memory and loss. Together, they would like to use creative forms to remember those who have died as a result of AIDS. And we look to the future: to a future of solidarity without fear and exclusion.
