A special selection of pieces of melodious salon music

Starting with Berlin, pieces typical of various regions in Europe and often penned by German composers will be presented. These include a czardas from Hungary, a polka from Vienna and Andalusian dances from Spain. The programme includes unforgettable lively pieces as well as well-known melodies from Denmark and Italy.

The vocal pieces are stylishly interpreted by Sabina vom Dorff. She is a well-known singer in Berlin who has been working with the Luna Salon Orchestra for a year. With charming moderation, the orchestra guides the audience through the evening and reveals interesting background information about the individual works. The audience is treated to a varied concert evening full of musical elegance and nostalgic flair.

The Luna Salon Orchestra was founded in 1999 by Ansgar Mennerich and Burkhard Langer in Tegel. The repertoire includes more than 120 pieces of entertaining salon music from the fields of film and dance music from the 1920s to the 1960s, as well as potpourris, classical music and operetta melodies.
