Through memories and research across various places, she encountered multiple perspectives on sea and water in its aggregate states. Her dance, performed in and inspired by diverse locations such as Phaselis in Asia Minor, Ilulissat in Greenland, the Hanseatic city of Hamburg, above and below water, weaves together journeys, movements, and video material.
The performance investigates how human relationships with the sea and ice can be expressed through the body: to what extent does the body become the site of these relationships? How can we open ourselves to a deeper listening to the ocean and to an understanding of the conditions we are entangled in?
