Veronika Vogel and Giorgio Crobu live and work as active musicians in Berlin.
They have been playing together for many years. In their duo, Blue Strings, the experiences of both artists are wonderfully combined. Through numerous concerts throughout Europe and Asia, they have developed their own unique approach to duo art. Featuring sophisticated arrangements, artful solos by jazz guitarist Giorgio Crobu, and the vocals of Veronika Vogel, their program offers a wide range. Giorgio Crobu (IT) toured with Joe Pass in a quartet for two years and was a long-time lecturer at the Hanns Eisler Academy of Music. He is uniquely adept at conveying the romanticism of Bill Evans' music and the soft sound of Wes Montgomery with the warmth of Mediterranean culture. The program includes pieces from Latin and swing styles, as well as his own compositions.
