NoonSong - Song & Prayer

This
NoonSong features Edmund Kretschmer and Andreas Romberg, two composers who were
highly regarded during their lifetimes but are almost forgotten today. Romberg
was mentioned in the same breath as Mozart and Beethoven in his day, while
Kretzschmer enjoyed the highest recognition in Dresden as court organist,
director of the royal choirboys, and composer of songs and operas.

NoonSong - what's that?

Every Saturday at noon, locals, visitors to Berlin, music fans and architecture enthusiasts gather for NoonSong. It is both a concert and a church service, developed from Anglican Evensong. Eight professional singers from the vocal ensemble sirventes berlin perform choral music under the direction of Stefan Schuck. The repertoire ranges from Renaissance music to contemporary compositions.
