As part of their training, aspiring photographers meet first-year students in acting, directing, and puppetry and explore the question: How is an artistic portrait created?

Together, they embark on a process of getting to know each other and exploring the tension between authenticity and staging.
The result is 38 diverse portrait photographs, which are now on display in the foyer of the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts (HfS Ernst Busch Berlin). A collaboration between the Ostkreuz School of Photography and the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts Berlin.
