Lesung und Performance

KROSS COLLECTIVE presents: CONVERGENCE X, an evening of experimental encounters where sound, movement, and image converge into immersive performance.

For this twentieth edition, they welcome Milchtritt (Philip Hölldobler), whose work folds acoustic and synthetic voices into a shifting dialogue—sometimes droning, sometimes erupting—implanting electronic reagents into instrumental play to birth strange and vivid sonic textures.

iYi (Runa Ikeda, Frida Eun Ae Yngvesson, Shinichiro Ikeda) brings their signature site-specific and interdisciplinary approach, weaving sound, movement, and visuals into dreamlike performances shaped by improvisation, rituals, and fantasy.

Rounding off the evening, Det’ox + Nastya present a collaborative performance of sound and dance: a haunting monologue of voices, madness, and magic, where one body and one voice fracture into a thousand echoes.

Milchtritt is an exploratory venture of Philip Hölldobler. The current focus is to employ an acoustic voice and evoke a second synthetic voice on it that is using the acoustic signal as substrate while in turn feeding back influence into the acoustic play, melting into each other to varying degrees. Augmenting manual instrumentation with synthetic power in improvisational performance within a preconceived shape. Milchtritt sometimes drones, sometimes barks. Implanting electronic reagents into instrumental placenta, fondling and choking the mess, gurgling up to excrete foul flowers of stereophonic sound.

Formed by Runa Ikeda, Frida Eun Ae Yngvesson and Shinichiro Ikeda in Berlin in 2016, iYi is an interdisciplinary art collective producing site specific and immersive performances and installations. They are interested in how sound, movement and different forms of visuals can blend together and form holistic experiences in physical installations or live performances. Their practice is based on instant composition, improvisation and embodiment.

As a collective, they explore themes such as dreams, rituals, fantasy, eeriness and juxtapositions. Their work is often shown in unconventional spaces such as outdoor plazas, libraries and bars. This is and has always been one of the main inspirations for them, how to bring the performance to different audiences in unexpected places and circumstances.

Nastya, a professional dancer / performer, and Det’ox, a sound artist / performer, both fresh in Berlin, join forces for a unique performance that blends music, dance, storytelling, and visuals.
Performance Description: A woman haunted by voices. A monologue of madness, music, and magic. An experimental journey into the fragile line between vision and delusion. One voice. A thousand echoes. Which ones do you believe?
