Echohaus accompanying program at Eschschloraque

"Alright, let's get this fucking noise show started!" – with these words, legendary musician and artist Bob Rutman opened his live shows.

This echo still resonates at Eschschloraque today: countless performances with greats of the music and dance scene, for example, in the concert series "Let's do some Music with Bob Rutman," have left an unforgettable mark.

On October 2, 2025, music for Bob will be heard again – an evening in memory of the father of the steel cello and his decades of uncompromising, intoxicating noise shows.

– LET’S DO SOME MUSIC FOR BOB RUTMAN –

  • Munsha (cello & vocals)
  • Yuko Matsuyama (Voice & Movement)
  • Bastiaan Maris (Jeffrey's Bow Chime)
  • KAI Dead Chickens (noise guitar)

Selected companions of the exceptional artist form the Bob Rutman Tribute – an evening full of personal stories and sonic dialogues that explore his legendary metal art.

Composer MUNSHA creates new spaces between chaos and beauty with experimental cello sounds. Yuko Matsuyama combines dance, voice, and sound into interdisciplinary performances, while Bastiaan Maris transforms raw energy into sound with Jeffrey Funt's Bow Chime – both once part of Mastodon with Bob Rutman. Kai (Dead Chickens) brings steel, fire, and a poetry of the monstrous into play with "Noise Gitarr."

The tribute is part of the accompanying program for the exhibition ECHOHAUS – 30 Years of Haus Schwarzenberg at Neurotitan and simultaneously reflects a piece of Eschschloraque's musical history.
