Experiences of class in East and West Germany
The two-part workshop (second part on 26.10.) is aimed at anyone interested in biographical storytelling and the changes in everyday life and the world of work.
This workshop focuses on personal memories of work and everyday life, especially in connection with social changes before and after 1990.
Through simple movement exercises - sitting or standing - the body is activated and becomes part of the confrontation with the past.
Discussion groups offer space to share life and work biographies and to exchange different experiences.
You are welcome to bring along an object or a photo that you associate with your everyday life around 1990.
No previous knowledge is required.
Workshop leader: Josephine Findeisen, born 1990 in Dresden, is a dancer and cultural worker. She studied dance, context and choreography at the Inter-University Center for Dance in Berlin. In her practice, she examines socio-economic realities and researches the entanglements of class, gender and body.
