Works by Pärt, Mozart, Schubert, and others
The Staatskapelle Berlin continues its annual tradition of performing two concerts at the Pierre Boulez Saal. Norwegian conductor Tabita Berglund makes her debut leading the orchestra and invites audiences to explore the meditative sound world of Estonian composer Arvo Pärt, who will celebrate his 90th birthday just a few days before the concert.

The soloist in Mozart’s A-major Piano Concerto is Fabian Müller, known to Pierre Boulez Saal audiences for his celebrated Beethoven sonata cycle last season. The program also includes Franz Schubert’s mysterious B-minor Symphony and a contemporary Schubert homage by Bulgarian-British composer Dobrinka Tabakova.
