Family tour for Berlin Freedom Week

Together, participants search for small and large traces of the Berlin Wall on Bernauer Straße. They discover why a memorial exists here and what its purpose is.

In doing so, they ask important questions: Why was a wall built in the first place? How did it change people's lives? And how did families experience the division? They also discuss who actually brought down the wall.

Remnants of the wall, photographs, and eyewitness accounts help them search for answers. They consider together what memories the families hold and what significance the Berlin Wall still has today.

For families with children between 8 and 12 years old
