Azul/Ricordi? is a contemporary dance evening where you will immerse yourself in culture, nature, history, and fantasy.

Azul is a powerful dance piece lasting 25 minutes. Inspired by the colors of the Colombian flag, particularly the blue of the ocean, Azul explores the powerful themes of cultural belonging and the intersection of fantasy and reality, with the ocean serving as an allegory for our imaginations.

The solo delves into the underwater world as a metaphor for the landscape of our own minds—a realm where the infinite, the fantastic, the terrifying, the desirable, the absurd, and the unknown coexist.

In the world of Azul, they explore the dances of aquatic creatures as well as objects and man-made structures that float in this marine universe. They exist not to serve a purpose, but to evoke something that transcends the limits of the human form and invites the viewer into a contemplative connection with the inner ocean.

In this dance performance, ancient and post-colonial narratives merge, drawing the audience into a deeply personal exploration of how our inner worlds shape the way we see the world around us.

Azul (blue) is a movement research project that belongs to a larger creative dream called "Amarillo, Azul y Rojo," inspired by the colors of the Colombian flag and intended to address questions of cultural belonging.

"Ricordi?" is a duet that explores the harsh life of rural Northern Italy in the 19th century—marked by pain, hard work, silence, and loneliness, and forced to follow the rhythms of nature. In silence, support is sought to escape the oppressive routine and find moments of peace and lightness. These are finally discovered by the two dancing bodies as they reconnect with the joyful, traditional male dance of the Laché, typical of Trentino.
