To mark the 30th anniversary of Haus Schwarzenberg, the exhibition ECHOHAUS, organised with the kind support of Wohnungsbaugesellschaft Berlin-Mitte mbH (WBM), brings together artistic works on sound, acoustic memory and archive materials that are interwoven with the history of the building, its surroundings and Berlin's subculture since the 1990s.

At the centre is the idea of the echo – understood as a trace, repetition or fragment of another time. Both contemporary and historical works are on display, complemented by personal objects and archive pieces that establish connections between the past and the present. These manifest themselves in installations, metal sculptures and photographic works, among other things.

Excerpts from Norman Ohler's novel MITTE echo throughout the exhibition space, adding a narrative layer to the artistic exploration.

A diverse accompanying programme ultimately shifts the echo to the stage of the Eschschloraque Rümschrümp artists' club:
Live tributes, concerts and a carefully curated line-up translate the sonic traces of ECHOHAUS directly into the performative present – live on stage.
