On European Restoration Day, the restorers at the Musical Instrument Museum will give tours of their workshops.
Music moves us—and musical instruments tell stories. Preserving these resonant testimonies of the past for future generations is the task of restorers. On European Restoration Day, we invite you to learn more about their work.
During guided tours of the restoration workshops at the Musical Instrument Museum and a stop at the exhibition, you will learn how instruments are cared for, researched, and preserved. You will gain insights into the principles of restoration work, problems of playability, and sustainability.
