Experience the universe at night: For the Long Night of Museums on August 30, the Berlin Planetarium Foundation is offering a varied evening program for young and old.



In the Berlin observatories you can experience professionally guided observations of the sky with large telescopes, while in the Zeiss large planetarium you can embark on an impressive journey through the universe under the 360° fulldome.


The program at the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory:

Sky observation at the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory (weather permitting)A waxing moon in the evening sky, later Saturn and objects in the fixed star sky. Take a look into space!

Guided tour of the Insulaner hillThe Insulaner, a 78-metre-high mound of rubble, is located on the border between Schöneberg and Steglitz. Join us on a walk across this very special, historic site.

Duration: approx. 45 minutes | Language: German | Limited to 25 people | Meeting point: In front of the observatory


Please buy separate free tickets for the individual events at the ticket offices with your ticket for the Long Night of Museums. These are available 45 minutes before the start of each event.


Shuttle buses will be provided for travel to the Archenhold Observatory and the Wilhelm Foerster Observatory.

Saver tickets are available for €15 instead of €23 from 1 August 2025 to 17 August 2025.

Children under 12 years of age are admitted free of charge, but require a free child ticket.

The ticket allows you to visit all participating museums and use the shuttle buses during the Long Night.
