Swedish composer and pianist Kurt Wiklander has been organising so-called ‘lunch concerts’ in his Scandinavian homeland for many years. These concerts feature pieces of music selected by the composer especially for these concerts, which are performed in public places such as churches, small theatres, community centres and libraries. These musical matinees are informal and free of charge, and open to anyone who is interested.

As this concept has a long and successful tradition in Sweden, Kurt Wiklander offered to give similar concerts in our library during his visits to Berlin. We gratefully accepted and are now establishing this type of event exclusively in our district.
You are cordially invited to join Kurt Wiklander on a musical journey that will introduce you to familiar and new pieces from the piano repertoire.
Kurt Wiklander will also play and present his own works at these events.
Admission is free, and donations collected after the concert will go to the composer.
