Cornelius Back is an author, artist and computer scientist. Cornelius Back will be traveling to Berlin especially to read from his book. However, he lives in Hegau, which is not dissimilar to the Auenland when viewed from Berlin. A long way away, somewhere in the south.

The hero of his book is 14-year-old Mert, who smokes salvia divinorum with his two friends in order to have a mind-expanding experience. The three are disappointed that it doesn't seem to work. However, life afterwards often seems strange to Mert. Again and again he finds himself in situations without being able to remember how he got there.
A story about freedom, death and infinity. And about the question of whether there is a second chance.
